With Adra Blake Hartley
Courses, coaching, and community for people ready to be whole, human, and deeply well.
A 12-week nervous system empowerment course for storytellers who are done letting the thing they love feel like proof they're not good enough.
Led by certified & trauma-informed book coach Adra Blake Hartley, with special guest "student" Kristin Dwyer — New York Times & USA Today bestselling author.
Enrollment closes June 28.
Every time I talk to Adra, I learn something new about my own creative process and how to better support my nervous system.
Most writing courses teach craft. Some teach mindset. A few teach productivity systems. The Thriving Writer teaches something none of those do: how to work with your body, not against it. And expand your capacity for success. It's also taught by a certified and trauma-informed book coach and fellow author who gets it.
Not just regulation — the capacity to move toward what you want and receive the success you desire.
Body-based tools that show your system it's safe to express yourself and be seen.
Why you protect yourself the way you do — and how to work with it instead of against it.
Science-backed methods to update what your nervous system believes is safe, possible, and allowed.
Tuning in to your deepest fears with curiosity — to support them, not shame them.
The unapologetic freedom to want what you want and embrace what makes you uniquely you.
Societal health is personal. And it's good to ask: who else benefits when we help ourselves?
As a course community, we will choose a non-profit or cause to support together — and lend a hand with a 5% donation from each sale.
For writers who are ready to stop blaming themselves and start understanding themselves.
The procrastination (even if today's a good day to deep clean the fridge). The self-doubt. The inner critic that won't shut up. The attention span of a golden retriever the moment you open your manuscript. The absolute certainty that a new, pretty notebook is what you need. Yeah, been there.
You go to work on fixing what you think are your flaws. You try harder. Make a new schedule. Tell yourself you just need more discipline, more consistency, more something.
But the patterns come back anyway. Rinse, repeat.
Here's what I know to be true: nothing is wrong with you. These aren't personality traits. They're protective patterns — signals that your nervous system needs more support. And once you understand that, everything changes.
Join me for this free class and leave with a completely new understanding of yourself — as a writer and as a human.
Same class, two times to join. Free. Live. Replays available for limited time.

I didn't just learn tools to help regulate my nervous system, I learned about my unique nervous system and identified what can cause activation and what helps to keep me balanced. Throughout this program, I developed a profound kindness towards myself that has allowed me to be with myself no matter what state I am in. I leave this program feeling stronger, capable, and excited for life.— L.S.
